Project: Overgrown is my experimental small-town sapphic romance novella about a woman who returns to her hometown to clear out the house her parents hoarded, with the help of her ex, the town’s handywoman.

I’m still refining the outline for this one. The inspiration for this came from my own experiences with a hoarder family members and my current fixation on kishotenketsu, an East Asian storytelling structure that doesn’t follow the traditional Western three-act structure focused on conflict. Project: Overgrown is focused on personal growth and understated love, and it’s my attempt to write more interiority and less dialogue.
